Default A few questions about anti-farming

Ok, I am still kinda new to GW (only played 1month so far), and I have done my research but couldnt find the realated information.

So I think I will just ask here...

Update ??? Wednesday, June 15

Fixed issues with last week's update that could cause loot drops to completely stop for some players after repeated map entries, and substantially improved the loot system so that only the most extreme forms of farming will cause monsters to start to run low on loot
--

Anyone knows how does this anti-farming system work?

For examples,
Does it gradually decrease the drops each run? Or does it decrease the drops only you have exceeded the limit of repetition?

And if the penalty is applied (the percentage of dropping rare item becomes very poor), how do you remove the penalty?

Just wait for few hours?(If yes, how long?) Or just change character and keep farming on the same map? Or go exploring on other maps then come back?

Thankyou

I believe only the people that know the specific information to that are the people who work at Anet. And if someone did know, that person can use it to his or her benefit.

Anyways, as I believe it to be, yes, it does drop the amount of loot every run you do. Remove the penalty? Don't think that's possible. Why would Anet want to give that information out? Unless someone does know the correct answers, and feels like spilling it.

All good questions, but I just feel that all we can do is speculate and test.

what my experience tells me is , its totaly random , so the more i go , the more i get , even sometimes for 3 to 5 runs geting nothing , other runs i get 2 greens in same run ... i dont know if they did something to balence this , but for sure , the more you go the more you get ...

giving a break , or changing location can help , just like in casino when you change slot machine to try your luck another place , lol

It does seem very random i had one griffon run and got just cash, horns and wings and my next run i got 4 golds and 3 purple weapons plus cash off almost everything else i killed.

I do try to clear the area of every griffon and minotour(sp?) though each run so i normally end up with a few thousand no matter what drops.
